Please share your comments about your experience : Schedule was sometimes erratic and unclear. The duties were varied and interesting. School field trips are frequent here and RV volunteers get to work with local Master Naturalists to host the field trips. I learned a lot from the wonderful local volunteers here.
VERY windy here and when the wind dies down the mosquitoes attack relentlessly in huge numbers. The washer and dryer are pretty new and in a clean and well-kept area. Volunteer village is about 4 miles from where you usually work so a government vehicle (dirty, but we washed it) is provided for the drive.
Did you receive any special benefits or perks while workamping? : Not really, but the volunteer village is across the street from a fishing pier and there is a kayak available for use by the volunteers. Unfortunately the wind and mosquitoes kept me from trying to use the kayak.
