Please share your comments about your experience : This is a great park to visit, just far enough away from Fredericksburg to be quiet, but close enough to drive in for all the events etc. The park is small, but expanding in the next year. The owners do not live on site, but the Managers do. When we started working here it was great, we both worked about 11 hours a week but would also cover if needed when managers were away on vacation. The Manageress is very OCD, her domain is the reservations office and everything has to be done 'her way', so much so that if you used the mouse to move sections on the reservation software, she would slap your hand and tell you to use the 'tab' on the keyboard. At first it was kind of comical, but eventually, her OCD started to get crazy, she wouldn't allow the host to have access to all the program, so if a guest changed the reservation, you couldn't 'fix' that in the program, you had to do it in a roundabout way, for ex: cancelling the whole reservation and starting it over again, which made the printed reservation look messy, then you would get in trouble because it didn't look professional. It just seemed like she wanted time off, but didn't want you to do the job properly and would write lists of 'mistakes' you made and then call you in on your time off to lecture you about it in front of guests. In the end, she had the owners 'let us go', couldn't even tell us herself. I have since talked to other hosts that had the exact same experience. The manager was great to work for, hubby enjoyed helping him out.
