Please share your comments about your experience : This place is owned and managed by two of the greediest people we have ever met in our lives. Their prices to camp for people are close to $100 per night, then they nickel and dime you for every little thing extra. We were promised 40 hours each with pay, PLUS free FHU. Instead, they barely gave us 25 hours. They are extremely clicky & only like certain people and let it be known to all. They claim they are all about God and have great Christian values, however, nothing could be further from the truth. It's sad really. The owner/managers gave each son a campground to run. One is in NH and the other is in NY. They have been around for years, but only 1 or 2 years with their sons running it. They are clueless as far as "people skills". They are rude to customers and only care about making their millions, and they certainly do make millions! Joe appears to be your best friend, but all of the decisions are made by the boss, Heather, she wears the pants in the family. Instead of taking care of her own 3 kids under 5, she hires a nanny so she can be all over the workampers making sure they don't take breaks or heaven forbid, sit down. Chairs are NOT allowed. Heather micro manages everyone along with her husband. They are unbelievably ocd/anal about EVERYTHING! Once we figured out they had lied to us about the amount of hours we would get and the fact that they were a God loving family, (what religion thinks it's ok to treat people like their slaves?) we left. Also, on a side note, the place is beautiful up in the mountains. As you may have guessed it's very clean and kept up while still being rustic camping. There is NO cell phone service, NO Wifi, you have to buy it through a cable company and it's about a half hour/hour to do any kind of shopping. Heather needs to remove the stick from her butt & realize that her workampers are the ones that are truly doing the work and without them, they would be in big trouble.

Did you receive any special benefits or perks while workamping? : $1.50 per hour if you make it to the end of their season in Sept as an incentive to stay the season, but doubtful many can make the entire summer with owners/managers like Heather & Joe Paradis.

Please share your comments about your experience : Owners are very nice and accommodating. Have worked at both locations in New York and New Hampshire over the past 4 years. They have several other workamping couples who return year after year. Women work inside at the store and registration; men outside doing maintenance. The workload is very reasonable. Pay is very competitive and you are paid for all hours. Your 30amp site and cable is free and electric is metered. WiFi and cell phone service is limited in New Hampshire due to the location in the beautiful white mountains. However, private wifi and phone is available through a local provider. Both locations are a resort unlike any others we have worked for. Great family environment.

Did you receive any special benefits or perks while workamping? : Paid bonus for every hour worked. White Mountain attractions booklet. Workamper picnic and bonfire gathering.

Please share your comments about your experience : Owners very nice. Campground, Store and Cafe overpriced. Position advertised as all hours paid 40-45hrs weekly which is why we took position, never happened and we were bored. Only had 30amp service and had to pay electric. Make sure you get everything in writing. Wish there had been a review prior to accepting position.
