Please share your comments about your experience : Ok, Where do we begin?
Great Lake and surroundings. Far from town, Shop for a week..
FHU, Barely. Had to hook in to another campers sewer hose with a "Y". Needless to say the sites are very close. Could literally hear the neighbors going at it. Didn't mind that so much, but they were young and it was like every night!! We Gotta sleep sometime!!
Speaking of that, Campers running through our site. Owner doesn't care. Told us not to make a deal of it they are his friends and good customers (They were there for 2 months)..So, OK what are we? Just had to grin and bear it.. (Working all day want to come home sit by the fire and relax and a football goes wingin' by your head & and the drinking..I don't mind a drink...But drunk is another thing!!
Manager is, I don't know what to say, I guess a slob is the best word. Doesn't take care of anything, the Shop is a mess, crap everywhere tools just dropped where they are used last. Projects started but rarely finished (unless the owner put's heat on him) Then it's our problem! Manager also "borrows" things from the restaurant. Food, Beverages whatever. Then we get the blame..That's BS..
His assistant (Wife) is like Attila the Hun. When she comes on property they have a secret code on the radio so everyone can lay low..
I don't know..You can go if you want..But, Don't say I didn't warn you!!
Did you receive any special benefits or perks while workamping? : Half price at restaurant, Free food at some events, Laundry when the machines worked, (only 2 had to share with campers) Housekeeping never had time to let us use theirs they were too snowed with the mountains of laundry from the cabins..(Enjoy Ladies-Workamping- a way to do MORE laundry in retirement!!)
