Please share your comments about your experience : First of all it was not Tony that drove us out . The developer was in looking at everything the work campers did and did not trust them at all. They wanted checklists made out everyday as to what garbage cans we emptied, pool skimmed , and on and on once you know the job this is unnecessary but unfortunately the narrow minded developer thought this would make the job get done. They would be watching every keystroke made on the reservation system to the point we couldn’t even check someone in because they were locking the system ( they would never admit to this but we kept getting the message “reservation locked at station 1308” ) We worked in the welcome center and they allowed another work camper (Barb) to micro manage us too and she would constantly go through the work we did and look for mistakes. Somehow this was OK because they were here last year and seemed to know everything (I guess we have all run into this ). If the residents get control of the resort I am sure that will change the park is beautiful and a wonderful place to be. The residents there are extremely grateful for the job the work campers do. I would have loved to come back here year after year. So if you do call or are called ask if the residents are in control and controlling couple is there (Barb & Ralph) , if the controlling couple are say no. If the residents are in control then I would accept a job here.

Did you receive any special benefits or perks while workamping? : Events were free to the work campers We did get internet through a cable modem on site and everyone had to supply their own wireless router. WiFi was available at the clubhouse.

Please share your comments about your experience : Tony Roller the maintenance supervisor was and ex bar bouncer, had no experience with people and was very out-spoken on people of different racial back ground. He was so unprofessional. He worked his work campers very hard because he didn't know how to schedule and he wanted every thing done for him. He was lazy and consumed alcohol all day long. So sad because Cypress Trails is a most beautiful park and the owners are all so nice. The developer from Israel kept Tony because he pushed his 16 work campers so hard and saved a lot of money for the cheap developer.

Did you receive any special benefits or perks while workamping? : Never a thank you for all the hard work the work campers performed.

Job Title: Reservation check in hostess at the welcome center

Please share your comments about your experience : The resort is absolutely beautiful! Most of the owners are very nice. This season's issues for all of the workampers, was with the workamper supervisor, and the HOA manager (not an actual owner there). Neither one have workamping experience or knowledge. Both Lack interpersonal skills and have obviously never supervised. Started with 8 couples, by March they were down to 2 couples. The treatment of workampers by the supervisor is unacceptable. We chose to leave prior to the end of season for this reason. The others either left on their own, or were asked to leave for reasons only the supervisor knows. Unless management changes, I highly discourage anyone to put themselves through that experience.
