    Please share your comments about your experience : Elk Pines RV Resort, Heber RV Resort, Ponderosa RV Park, and Meridian RV Resort: My husband and I wouldn't recommend any of the parks because they are owned by the same owner and run by the same GM. These parks are in the White Mountains or Apache Junction area. We worked for 6 months at Elk Pines and Meridian for 2 1/2 months. Neither the owner nor the GM value their workampers. If you choose to work at any of these parks, just know that they expect you to work more than the hours you agree upon even though they won't admit it. You will be "on call" at their properties as well during your work days until the shift is handed over to another couple. We were told that they would hire out for certain special jobs but they really expected the workampers to step up and do these jobs to save money. They do have a crew they hire for some work but their work is sub-par and never really helpful. The owner and GM are all about making money (and I realize that is what a business is about) but they don't value hard work and commitment. So if you work here, just know that IF you go above and beyond, they will not recognize it. The GM is not very professional. She has trouble remembering what she tells her workampers during the interview process. I recommend you take copious notes and expect to have to refer to them during the season to hold her to what she told you during the interview. She also talks about her employees behind their backs to other employees and often accuses them of things without any proof. She doesn't like to deal with conflict and will avoid it if all possible (one of her ways of "dealing with conflict is to fire people) and she is not a people person which doesn't make her liked by many residents at the parks. She did do a good job of teaching me how to use Astra and was gracious when I made mistakes. The properties are nice but that's mostly due to the workampers efforts. There are a lot negative things that happened as we worked at these 2 properties that I won't go into. Our opinion is that it's not worth the headaches to work here as long as they have the same owner and GM.
