Please share your comments about your experience : We arrived on a Thursday. The manager called us a few days earlier and said they would be out of town when we got there. He said that we can start on Sunday and there would l.j d be someone there to show us what to do. Our original agreement was for my husband and I to each work 3 days on and 6 days off. Total hours each was 15 for our site. We went to the office on Friday morning to ask what time to start on Sunday and who would be showing us what to do. No one had any idea. We talked to another work couple and they took time to show us around and let us know what to do. We were given a checklist on Sunday to be completed each day. We work Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Thursday, a week after we arrived we finally met the managers. They informed us that the rules have changed and we now were going to have to work 21 hours each and we would also have to work all activities that the resort offered. We knew from working the last few days that the couple that worked the activities were paid employees and they were leaving. Also, the day after we arrived another work couple was leaving for being lied to about what the job entailed. After talking to the manager and not being able to come to an agreement we decided that it was not going to work out and we left. So within 1 week if us arriving 3 out of the 4 work couples left because of the managers. We have been workamping for 2 years and we were very disappointed here.

Please share your comments about your experience : I am presently working as a camp host and love it here. Too bad the previous review was so misleading to other work campers as this is a great place to work. We, my husband and I, work 2 days a week for our FHU with laundry and a lovely spot. We have work camped for 6 years and have known lots of personalities and some people aren't cut out as team players and don't want to do what's needed to help run the park! we always talk to our potential work camp jobs numerous times before our arrival so we get a true picture of the work required.

Did you receive any special benefits or perks while workamping? : No monies just FHU, laundry, wifi, cable, coffee, ice, use of new gym and pickle ball courts, beautiful lake front lot!!!

Please share your comments about your experience : We gave them 1 star because there is no lower rating. We traveled over 1,700 miles to work camp here, after being told we would be working together in the clubhouse/office. As soon as we got here we were told a "new" management couple was now in charge. They promptly doubled our commitment hours and changed our duties. The average "compensation" would be less than minimum wage. When I questioned the changes, we were promptly told that we "weren't going to work out", and they gave us 48 hours to leave. We had heard stories of how some parks would use bait and switch to get workers to commit. After 2 prior good experiences, we found out what they were talking about. Any work campers thinking of this place, be warned: Get every detail in writing from a qualified manager. Every detail. Better yet, pass on these shysters.
